
KOLLAM: Shaji Baby John (65), chairman and managing director of Kings Infra Ventures and son of Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) leader and former minister Baby John, died in Bengaluru. Shaji Baby John was a resident of Flat 14A, Thevara The Atria, Ernakulam. He is the elder brother of RSP state secretary and former minister Shibu Baby John.
Shaji passed away today morning at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru while undergoing treatment for a heart attack. The body will be brought to his residence near Shankars Hospital in Kollam on Tuesday morning. It will then be kept at the family home ‘Vayalil’ in Neendakara for public viewing at 2 pm. The funeral will be held at St. Sebastian's Church in Neendakara at 3.30 pm.
Shaji Baby John, under the leadership of Kings Infra Ventures, made significant contributions in the fields of aquaculture and seafood processing. Shaji is a recipient of several awards for his contributions in the export sector. He has also intervened to make aquaculture profitable by utilising AI technology. Shaji has also served as a board member of the Marine Products Export Development Authority of India.
