Six-year-old girl drowns in river at tourist spot

KOZHIKODE: A girl of first standard drowned at a river in Balussery. The child dead was a member of a tourist group that reached Kariyathumpara tourist spot. The dead has been identified as Abrara (6), daughter of K T Ahmed and P K Naseema of Chungam in Feroke Vazhaputtathara. She was a student of LP School in Feroke.

The tourist group had reached the spot at around 3 pm yesterday. The accident occurred while they were playing with other children in the river.
