Slander campaign against K J Shine: K M Shahjahan in police custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K M Shahjahan was taken into custody by the Aluva Rural Cyber ​​Crime Police on Thursday in the case of defaming CPM leader K J Shine through social media. Shahjahan was taken into custody from his house in Ulloor, Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier in this case, Shahjahan was summoned to Ernakulam and released after questioning. It is indicated that Shahjahan was taken into custody after the investigation team obtained crucial evidence.

After detailed questioning, steps including arrest may be taken. The police had sought information from Meta to find the source of the abusive posts that Shahjahan is said to have shared. Shahjahan had handed over the memory card containing the footage of the abusive video to the investigation team. The phone was seized during an earlier search conducted at Shahjahan's house in Thiruvananthapuram.
