Soil and rock collapse during national highway work in Taliparamba

TALIPARAMBA: Soil and rocks collapsed at the national highway construction site at Kappanathattu in Kuppam, Taliparamba, on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 4.30 pm when rock fragments came loose and fell while workers were engaged in construction work.

As a result, the nearby office of ABC Sales Corporation has been put at risk. During the last monsoon season, heavy soil collapse had occurred at the same spot, following which traffic was diverted from the area.
