Student of play school run over by bus in Idukki, another student sustains serious injuries

IDUKKI: A student of a play school was killed after the school bus ran over her in Cheruthoni. The dead is Hazel Ben, aged four, of Giri Jyothi Public School in Vazhathope. The incident happened Wednesday morning in the school grounds. Inaya Faizal, who was with Hazel sustained serious injuries.

After getting off the school bus, Hazel and her friend Inaya were walking behind the bus. The children were hit by another bus at that time. Hazel was run over by the bus. Inaya sustained injuries in the leg. Teachers and other bus drivers, who saw the incident rushed the children to Idukki Medical College Hospital, but the life of Hazel could not be saved. The school authorities have not yet responded on the incident.
