THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More information surface in the suicide of BJP councillor in Thiruvananthapuram. Thirumala ward councillor Anil Kumar (58) also known as Thirumala Ani committed suicide on Saturday. He had kept Rs 10,000 on the table to conduct his last rites. The suicide note had also mentioned about this. He had kept the money on the table in the room where he took the drastic step. He ended his life in the BJP ward council office in Thirumala at 8:30 am on Saturday. The suicide note also alleged that his party did not help him when there was a crisis in the Valyasala Farm Society, where he was a functionary.
The Valyasala Farm Society while Anil Kumar was serving as the president, had given a loan of more than Rs 6 crore. There were some financial issues there. With this, the investors demanded their money back. When he could not return the money, a case was registered at the Thampanoor police station. Anil Kumar was summoned by the police in this case.
None in the society had helped him when the financial issues came to light. Neither he nor his family had taken money from it. Now everyone is blaming him. The note said that he is ending his life.
