‘Event organizers cheated me, didn’t pay the promised money’, Sunny Leone approaches court to quash case against her

KOCHI: Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has approached Kerala High court demanding to withdraw cheating case against her. A case was registered against the actress as she had failed to participate in an event organized in Kochi on Valentine's Day after accepting money. Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber filed a petition in the High Court to quash the case based on an incident 2019 incident, stating that there no fault on their part.

Sunny Leone claims that she came to Kochi to attend the event, but the organizers withdrew without paying Rs 30 lakh as per their earlier contract. Therefore, the petition states that the organizers have committed cheating and demanded that the Ernakulam Crime Branch should withdraw the case registered against her. A case was filed against the actress in 2019 on the complaint of Shiyas Kunju Muhammad, a native of Perumbavoor.
