THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Along with the launch of new buses, KSRTC is organising a three-day exhibition festival in Thiruvananthapuram. Normally, the introduction of a new bus would include an inauguration function followed by a flag-off ceremony. However, this time, along with the launch of 143 new buses, an exhibition called 'Transpo' has been organised at Kanakakunnu for three days from Friday.
Apart from the new buses, a photo exhibition of vehicles such as cars, bikes, buses, trucks of various companies and a photo exhibition related to KSRTC, will be held. Seminars on various topics and art programs presented by prominent figures in the film industry will be held in the evening. Minister K.N. Balagopal will inaugurate the exhibition at 10 am on Friday. The inauguration ceremony will be held after the announcement procession.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will flag off the new buses at a function to be held at the Anayara Swift headquarters at 5.30 pm on Thursday. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the complete digitalisation of the department. The student smart card will be introduced at the function. Minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar will preside. Superstar Mohanlal will travel in the new sleeper bus on Thursday across the city, where he spent his best days as a youngster.
