PALAKKAD: A fresh allegation has been levelled against BJP state vice president C Krishna Kumar. The new allegation is that he misbehaved with a woman, a municipal employee, and that the case was settled by transferring her.
The complainant has clarified in a letter to the media that the harassment complaint she filed against Krishna Kumar is not a family matter. The letter said the police did not investigate properly and gave a report in his favor. The complainant also alleged that the police was politically influenced. She was seriously injured after being beaten by him. Suresh Gopi provided her medical help then. The woman is also demanding Shobha Surendran’s intervention in the complaint.
The woman, a relative of Krishna Kumar, had filed a complaint about the harassment to BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar via an e-mail. Rajeev Chandrasekhar's office had confirmed this. The woman first filed the complaint in 2014. The Palakkad North police then registered a case. Two years later, she also filed a complaint with the BJP leadership. She went to the RSS state office in Elamakkara and lodged a complaint with Gopalankutty and then with BJP leaders V Muraleedharan and M T Ramesh. The woman in her complaint alleged that although everyone assured her justice against Krishna Kumar, but nothing happened.
Krishna Kumar responded that the allegations of harassment were baseless. The reason behind this was the one who left the party. Legal action will be taken against this. He had also said that the present complaint is related to a property dispute in his wife's house.
