'Those who wrote paeans stabbed from back'; Rahul Mamkootathil with new Facebook post

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Albeit mired in grim controversy over his alleged escapades, MLA Rahul Mamkootathil came up with a Facebook post on Sunday. The Palakkad MLA shared on Facebook a post of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi about the latter’s march surrounding the ‘Vote Chori’ in Bihar.

“He was ridiculed, accused, and attacked in an organised manner. Many tried to bring him down; people who once praised him stabbed him from the back. Despite all this, he continues with his fight undaunted and without any regrets. He considers the political movement as vital and bigger than anything. He is a Congressman beyond all definitions,” Rahul Mamkootathil wrote about Rahul Gandhi on Facebook.

At the same time, pressure is mounting on the Palakkad MLA to resign after senior Congress leaders too joined the bandwagon demanding that Rahul resign soon without putting the party on the defensive.
