KOTTAYAM: Nair Service Society chief Sukumaran Nair wholeheartedly welcomed the newly reached unity between Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) and NSS. Nair also invited SNDP to the NSS headquarters in Perunna. G Sukumaran Nair's response came after Vellappally Natesan announced that the SNDP Yogam Council had approved the unity with NSS.

SUKUMARAN NAIR:

“The need of the hour is to strengthen the unity between SNDP and NSS. NSS and SNDP will come together in a way that does not compromise their basic values. Let them come first, and we will discuss the matter in detail. After discussing with them, we will convene a meeting of the NSS Board of Directors.

Unity is certain. NSS and SNDP are dominant communities in the Hindu community. It is the need of the hour for them to come together. We very much welcome Vellappally’s decision to be together. Unity will continue even after the elections. Only politicians are concerned about the NSS-SNDP unity. I will accept Thushar like a son when he comes to the meeting. However, we will not welcome him as a political leader. Strong action should be taken in the Sabarimala gold theft case. All those who committed the wrongdoing in the gold robbery should be punished.”
