Train delays due to track cracks: Caution advised for people from this district

KOTTAYAM: Train services through Kottayam district are experiencing delays after a crack was discovered in the railway track between the Adichira and Parolikkal gates. The issue reportedly stemmed from a welding failure.

The Parasuram and Sabari Express, along with the Kollam-Eranakulam MEMU train, were delayed for more than half an hour at various stations. Although the fault has been temporarily repaired, trains between Kottayam and Ettumanur are still moving cautiously to maintain safety.
