Transportation partially disrupted after tree falls on Thamarassery Churam

KOZHIKODE: Traffic was partially disrupted after a tree fell on the second valavu (hairpin bend) of the Thamarassery Churam. Transportation was disrupted Saturday morning at around 10:30 am. The Highway Police said the issue will be resolved soon.


A large branch of a tree which was on the second valavu fell. It fell on the branch of another tree. Both the trees broke and fell on the road, causing traffic disruption. The fire force has arrived and is felling the branches of the tree. Authorities have informed that traffic will be restored soon.


Meantime, the Muslim League's protest is going on in Adivaram over the frequent traffic snarls at the Thamarassery Churam. The traffic was disrupted today amid active discussions highlighting the problems of travel via the Churam.
