Travelling on footboard; 16-year-old falls from a moving bus onto road in Kochi

KOCHI: A 16-year-old boy died tragically after falling from a moving bus. Pavan, a native of Chellanam, died. The incident took place at 7 pm last night in Chellanam, Ernakulam. The bus was not very crowded when Pavan boarded. Pavan was then sitting on his seat. However, after some time, he got up from his seat and stood on the footboard of the bus.

It is not clear whether Pavan accidentally fell out of the footboard of the bus or jumped out deliberately. This matter will be clarified only after taking the statements of relatives and others.

Pavan was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital after falling on the road. He died in the morning while undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case against the driver of the private bus for driving with the door open. CCTV footage of the incident has been released.
