KOTTAYAM: The family of former chief minister Oommen Chandy are denying treatment for him, said Chandy’s brother Alex V Chandy. He told a private channel that he is being pressured to withdraw his statement after he complained that Chandy is not given adequate treatment. Chandy’s younger daughter Achu Oommen wants her father to get better treatment.

Alex lodged a complaint to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan yesterday stating that Chandy’s family is denying treatment to him. Soon Chandy’s son Chandy Oommen shared a video of Oommen Chandy on Facebook. Alex Chandy is still firm in his complaint.

Meanwhile, former union minister A K Antony and UDF convener M M Hassan called on Chandy at his home in Thiruvananthapuram this afternoon. Both came together. Antony said that it was a cordial visit and Hassan said they visited him as Chandy is going to Bengaluru.
