THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch is moving to cancel the bail granted to Rahul Mamkootathil in the second rape case against the MLA. The Crime Branch has filed a petition in the court requesting this. The petition alleges that Rahul Mamkootathil has violated the fifth condition of the bail, which is not to try to influence the victim. The petition was filed this afternoon. Following this, the court has sent a notice to Rahul Mamkootathil or his lawyer to appear in person on the 28th of this month. The notice was issued by the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court.

The second complainant has filed a complaint with the Crime Branch alleging that Rahul Mamkootathil tried to influence her through a WhatsApp call on the 17th. The Crime Branch approached the court seeking cancellation of the bail after this.
