'Truth will soon come out' ; Unnikrishnan Potty responds to media after interrogation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The interrogation of sponsor Unnikrishnan Potty in the Sabarimala gold pedestal controversy ended today. The Devaswom Vigilance questioned him for three hours. Potty, after coming out of the questioning, responded that truth will be the ultimate winner.

In the interrogation today, Vigilance mostly sought information about Unnikrishnan's financial transactions, his dubious sponsorship contract and whether he extorted money from devotees. However, Potty remained steadfast on what he said yesterday and stated that he had submitted all relevant documents of his financial transactions to the Devaswom vigilance and court.

In his interrogation yesterday, Potty said he received a copper plate but not gold from the temple. The gold was plated after spending money from his own pocket and other sponsors. The Vigilance questioned Unnikrishnan for several hours yesterday.

"The pedestal that was handed over to my friend Vasudevan went missing. It was returned only after a complaint was filed,' Unnikrishnan told the Vigilance yesterday.
