THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The investigation into the fraud cases at actor Krishnakumar's daughter Diya's jewellery shop has been handed over to the Crime Branch. The investigation will begin on Thursday. The Museum Police will hand over the case details to the Crime Branch.
The City Police Commissioner had submitted a report to the DGP, stating that the Museum Police has an excessive number of cases and that it is a station that plays an important role in providing security for the travel of the Chief Minister and Governor. The case was handed over to the Crime Branch based on this.
The police said that the accused employees in the case have gone absconding. The case is that three employees of the jewellery shop manipulated the QR code and transferred more than Rs 60 lakh to their own accounts. The complaint is against Vinitha, Divya and Radhakumari.
The police said that the three ex-employees were asked to appear at the station the other day to record their statements, but they turned off their phones and went absconding. They were searched at their homes and friends' houses, but could not be found. It is reported that they are trying to get anticipatory bail.
The Thiruvananthapuram First Class Magistrate Court will consider the anticipatory bail application filed by the employees against Krishnakumar and Diya on Friday, alleging kidnapping and assault.
