Wayanad tragedy: Two die after car collides with KSRTC bus in Mananthavady

WAYANAD: Two people lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision between a KSRTC bus and a car in Mananthavady, Wayanad. The accident occurred while the bus was operating on the Kozhikode-Mananthavady route.
The victims, who were travelling in the car, died on the spot. One of the deceased has been identified as Renju Mathew, a native of Kodancherry in Kozhikode. A third individual, also a passenger in the car, sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital for specialized medical treatment.
The force of the collision left the car completely destroyed. Following the crash, local residents and police personnel conducted a joint rescue operation at the scene. While the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, authorities are examining whether high speed played a role in the collision.
