Wayanad woman found dead five months after husband's mysterious death in Israel

WAYANAD: Five months after the suicide of Wayanad native Jinesh, his wife Reshma died after consuming poison. Jinesh P Sukumaran (38), a native of Bathery, Koliyadi, and a caregiver in Israel, was found dead after committing suicide five months ago. Reshma (34), a native of Koleri, died while undergoing treatment. The couple has a daughter, Aaradhya.

Jinesh was found hanging inside the room of the house where he worked in Mevaseret Zion, near Jerusalem. The 80-year-old owner of the house was found stabbed to death inside the house. Jinesh was working as a caregiver for her husband. The bodies were discovered when their relatives arrived at the house.

There is still ambiguity on the cause of the death, while a murder angle has also not been ruled out yet. Relatives said that Reshma was constantly in touch with Malayali friends and authorities in Israel to unearth the truth behind her husband’s death. Jinesh went to Israel while working as a medical representative in Wayanad.
