KOCHI: The High Court on Tuesday rebuked the state government for sitting idle for four years despite receiving the vital Hema committee report. The court scoffed at the government and asked whether they had any obligation to intervene in an important issue of the society. High Court also ordered that the full report be handed over to the investigation team as soon as possible, maintaining confidentiality. Audio clips if any, along with the report, should also be produced before the court.

“In Kerala, women are not minorities, keep in mind that they are the majority force. Proper actions should be taken. This case is not just confined to cinema industry, but concerns the whole of Kerala” said HC.
