Wild boar jumps in front of motorbike; youth sustains serious injury

PALAKKAD: A man was seriously injured after a wild boar jumped in front of his bike. The injured person has been identified as Ranju Rajan (28). The accident took place around 10:15 pm yesterday on the Kalladikode-Thodikode road at Karimba in Palakkad district.

Ranju was travelling on the pillion seat of the bike along with his friend. Suddenly, a wild boar jumped across the road in front of the bike. Due to the impact of the collision, Ranju was thrown onto the road and suffered serious injuries. He is currently undergoing treatment in the emergency ward of the Palakkad District Hospital. The friend who was riding the bike escaped with minor injuries.

The problem of wild boar attacks continues to be severe in the Karimba area. Earlier, a man named Bavin (38) was also involved in a similar accident at the same place after a wild boar jumped in front of his bike. Bavin, who suffered a head injury, is still under treatment.
