PALAKKAD: Anil Kumar, son of Kalimuthu, killed in a wild elephant attack during a tiger census, will be offered a temporary job in the forest department. The forest department announced that the first phase of compensation will be handed over to Kalimuthu’s family tomorrow.
The postmortem report stated that Kalimuthu died of internal bleeding. His spine and ribs were broken, and his internal organs were damaged. The initial findings suggest that the elephant threw him from behind with its trunk and then kicked him in the chest. There were marks on Kalimuthu’s body that suggested being thrown by the elephant with its trunk.
