MALAPPURAM: P V Anvar made a no-holds-barred attack against UDF leaders and confirmed that he would not join the United Democratic alliance. He also reserved a few words of criticism for LDF saying that the communists were slowly leaning towards communal politics.
P V ANVAR:
“I resigned from the MLA post out of my conscience. Nobody influenced me to the decision. The Communist Party once adhered to socialism and secularism. I joined the party to follow the same ideology. I questioned it when I found them slowly skittering from those stated values. I even questioned the police who tried to harass ordinary people.
Despite senior leaders of UDF holding talks with me, I couldn’t enter the alliance. I know the reason but I am not ready to make it public. I had no demands yet I could not join UDF. I resigned from my post to convince the Kerala society about the inept work of the ruling government. I wanted somebody from the hilly terrains of Nilambur to be the UDF candidate. What is wrong with it?
I will not be joining a Satheesan-led UDF. I won't contest in the elections as I lack the financial requirements to do so. Without Anvar, it will be difficult for UDF to win Nilambur. Satheesan and his team will pay a big price"
