Woman bitten by police dog during Independence Day celebrations in Idukki

IDUKKI: A woman, who came to participate in the district level Independence Day celebrations, was bitten by a police dog. The victim has been identified as Shanty Titus of Vazhathoppu. The woman, who sought treatment at Idukki Medical College, has been sent home.

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, there was a special show by the dog squad. During the show, one of the dogs got uncomfortable and was taken out by the trainers. On the way out, the dog bit the woman’s hand. The dog belongs to the category Belgium Malinois.
