Woman dies of heart attack after learning about son’s suicide

ALAPPUZHA: A 54-year-old woman died of heart attack after learning about her son’s suicide. The dead is Indulekha, wife of Madanan of Purakkad. Her son Nidhin (32) committed suicide last night.

Nidhin, a fisherman, was found hanging at 8 pm last night. She suffered a heart attack after knowing his death. He was rushed to Alappuzha Medical College, but died at 11 pm.

The two will be cremated today. Meantime, the reason for his suicide is not known. The police are investigating it.
