KILIMANOOR: Police officials in Kilimanoor on Friday had to rush a woman to hospital after it was found that she consumed poison before reaching the police station. It is doubted that the woman who arrived at the station on her scooter stopped midway on her journey to consume the poison.

The woman felt dizzy upon reaching the station and stormed into the sub-inspector's room to inform him that she consumed poison. Just moments after the revelation, she fainted. The incident took place on Friday afternoon. The woman, a native of Vellarada was returning after visiting her male friend in the hospital. It is said that the male friend was admitted to the hospital due to a suicide attempt and he is married.

After the incident, the police immediately admitted the woman to the Kesavapuram Social Health Center and then to the Medical College Hospital. The police informed that half a litre of poison mixed with a cold drink was found in the woman's bag.
