THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Director Ranjith responded to his resignation by saying that he didn’t intend to defame the government so stepped down from the position. In an audio message, the director clarified that the truth will come out soon and alleged a conspiracy behind the current set of events.

Director Ranjith:

“Sreelekha Mitra’s allegation is the latest part of a conspiracy that has been doing the rounds since I took charge as the chairman of Chalachitra Academy. It is not easy to wipe off the dirt that has fallen upon my personality due to the allegation. But it is my responsibility to prove the allegations wrong. To convince the public, I need to come out of this controversy clean. Some parts of the allegations were lies. She was changing stance every few minutes. Let the law take its course.

Some right-wing parties and their media colleagues are on a mission to taint the government. I have been dragged into it as part of the process. However, I don’t wish the media to use my name to defame the government.

The truth will come out one day and I’m waiting for that. Many media channels invaded my privacy without obtaining any permission. I’m not obliged to respond to any media so I share my response through this audio”
