THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Youth Congress state secretary Akhil Omanakuttan joined BJP on Wednesday. This move, just before the local body elections, will be a major setback for the Congress. Akhil Omanakuttan was accepted into the party by the BJP Pathanamthitta district president. Akhil had been at loggerheads with the Congress for some time. He has held several posts, including the Youth Congress district secretary.
