PALAKKAD: The police seized the CCTV hard disk of the KPM Hotel where a controversial police search was conducted late last night. A team of cyber experts led by Town South circle inspector Adam Khan seized the hard disk. The police team reached the hotel again this afternoon. The police said the search was part of the investigation. The statements of the CEO and employees of the hotel have been taken.

The details of the people staying were also sought. All clippings will be examined in detail. It will also be examined whether any footage has been deleted. A search in the rooms of the women's Congress leaders had stoked a controversy. The search led to a major scuffle. A tense situation prevailed at midnight for nearly four hours. The situation worsened when the Congress alleged that the police searched the rooms of women leaders and the CPM and the BJP demanding a search in all rooms.

The police finally dispersed the activists. The police said that they could not find anything in the search. A march staged by the congress to the SP office in protest against the search also turned violent.

CPM files complaint
The CPM filed a complaint demanding a thorough investigation into the allegations of black money. The complaint was filed with the SP. Rahul Mamkootathil and Shafi Parambil were in the hotel since 10.45 pm. The complaint said Feni, the accused in the fake identity card case, carried the money in a blue trolley bag.
