NILAMBUR: P V Anvar said the votes he garnered is against Pinarayism. The votes achieved is from the LDF camp. He also responded that the news that what he got was the votes of the UDF is false. Anwar was responding to the media when the counting of votes in the by-election was progressing.
‘No one can easily form a government in 2026 without solving the wildlife issues. Once the election results are out, we will bring together the organizations of the hilly areas and make strong interventions. A coordination of 130 farmer organizations has been made. Ministers and MPs had said that Anvar will not get more than 5,000 votes. Issues related to the people of the high ranges are active in about 60 constituencies. If there is a situation to move forward with the UDF, will move forward with them. Many social organizations have expressed support. The UDF leadership should be ready to open its eyes and not turn a blind eye. There is time to consider joining the UDF. The fight against Pinarayi is going on,’ Anvar said.
UDF candidate Aryadan Shoukath has won the Nilambur by-election. He secured 76,493 votes. LDF's M Swaraj came second with 65,061 votes. Anvar secured 19,946 votes. BJP candidate Mohan George came fourth with 8,706 votes.
