Lady YouTuber and social media star arrested; Rinzi and Arafat caught from flat in Kochi

KOCHI: Female YouTuber and her friend arrested in MDMA possession case. Kozhikode native Rinzi and her friend Yasser Arafat were arrested by the police. The police caught the YouTuber and her friend with the drug MDMA from a flat in Palachuvadu. The police arrested the accused on charges of possession of the drug. The police are preparing for a detailed investigation into the incident. 22 grams of MDMA were seized from the accused.

The prominent social media star has been arrested in a drug case as the state-wide anti-drug campaign is in progress. Operation D-Hunt, a joint operation of the Kerala Police and the Excise Department, is also progressing across Kerala as part of the drug hunt. The team is conducting hundreds of suspicious cases every day. Several people are being arrested every day.

The highest number of drug cases in the state are being detected in Kochi. Former Excise Commissioner Rishiraj Singh recently revealed that drugs are widely reaching Kerala from Bengaluru, Mysore, Goa and Mumbai.
