Anvar's latest political tact; TMC MPs Mahua, Derek visit Panakkad

MALAPPURAM: Trinamool MPs Mahua Moitra and Derek O'Brien paid a visit to Muslim League state president Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal on Saturday. Trinamool state coordinator and former Nilambur MLA P V Anvar was also part of the meeting. The meeting was chaired to deliberate on Anvar’s inclusion into the UDF alliance.

Discussion over Anvar’s inclusion into UDF is going in full swing, just days before the UDF meeting scheduled on the 27th of this month.

“The TMC MPs were in Kerala as part of their party programs. I guess they were in Malappuram and reached Panakkad as part of a courtesy visit. We had a candid chat devoid of politics.” said Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal.

This was Anvar’s second visit to Panakkad after relinquishing his MLA post following a bout with LDF and CM Pinarayi Vijayan. Anvar will also be attending TMC’s delegation meeting in Manjeri on Sunday.
