KOZHIKODE: BJP state president K Surendran has accused the state government of hunting down senior leader PC George. He claimed that a conspiracy was underway to ruin his political career. Surendran pointed out that PC George had already issued a public apology for a slip of the tongue during a TV debate, yet the government has treated him as if he were a terrorist.
He further criticized the state’s double standards, pointing out that no legal action was taken against those who displayed pictures of Hamas leaders on top of elephants during a public procession. "Despite several Muslim religious leaders making derogatory remarks against Hindu and Christian beliefs, the government failed to take any action. We also saw the Chief Minister and CPM leaders defending Speaker AN Shamseer when he insulted Lord Ganesha," he added.
