
SULTHAN BATHERY: Shashi Tharoor MP, while attending the Congress leadership camp being held in Sultan Bathery, opined that dissenting voices should remain within the party. Tharoor said that the party should stand united in the upcoming assembly elections.
K Muraleedharan also opined that leaders should not gift opportunities to the opposition to take down the party or to make the party turn into a laughing stock. Tharoor, known for openly expressing his contrarian views( diverting from Congress's stance) on national issues, suddenly falling in line with Congress's dictum has led to talks even within the party.
Meanwhile, Congress is moving to announce its candidates for the assembly elections in advance. The announcement of candidates will be in two phases. The first phase candidates will be announced before the election notification. The Congress has also decided to release the second phase candidate list after the election date is announced.
