THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC General Secretary MJ Job, who resigned from the Congress in protest against the party supporting G Sudhakaran in Ambalappuzha, joined BJP today. Job alleged that the decision to support Sudhakaran came from Delhi without any discussion at any level of the party, including the KPCC. UDF expressed support for G Sudhakaran, who is contesting as an independent candidate in Ambalappuzha. The UDF will not field a candidate in Ambalappuzha. H Salam is the LDF candidate here.

BJP Alappuzha North District President P K Binoy had announced the other day, welcoming MJ Job to the BJP in the wake of Job making his displeasure public.

“In this era of great transformation in Kerala politics, people working in various fields are joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. It is a welcome move for people with a long tradition in politics, like MJ Job, to enter the party.” Said Binoy.

NCP state secretary and former director of the Forward Development Corporation, Jayakumar, also joined the BJP. BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar welcomed them to the party at a ceremony held at Mararji Bhavan.
