Tamil Nadu tourist falls to death from 60-foot cliff near Varkala beach

VARKALA: In a tragic incident, a Tamil Nadu native who slipped and fell while taking a selfie from the Papanasam North Cliff died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Murugan alias Saravanan (36), a native of Sankarankovil, died in the tragic incident.

On April 5 at around 1.30 pm, Saravanan reached the top of the cliff near the nature treatment centre to take a selfie. However, he slipped and fell 60 feet. Saravanan had come to Varkala from Tamil Nadu with a group of 10 members for vacation.
