PORBANDAR: Three people were killed after a coast guard’s helicopter crashed on Sunday. The accident happened near the Coast Guard airport in Gujarat’s Porbandar. The helicopter, an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv of the Indian Coast Guard, crashed killing three. It is believed that the accident occurred during a routine training flight. There were two pilots and a crew member in the helicopter.

The accident happened around 12 noon. The helicopter caught fire as soon as it hit the ground. The fire brigade arrived and doused the flames. The Indian Coast Guard is investigating the incident. The initial conclusion is that a technical fault may have caused the accident. All three from the crashed helicopter were taken to the hospital, but police said they could not save their lives.
