‘I’m not that Benyamin, don't come this way again with such news'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Famous writer Benyamin has denied the news of him contesting the upcoming assembly polls as a Left candidate. His name was seen in today’s daily carrying the list of people likely to contest the coming assembly elections. However, he humbly informed via a Facebook post that there is no such possibility.

In a society where many people enter politics and express opinions only for the sake of positions, there is nothing wrong with the media suspecting such a possibility. However, he said that it is his responsibility to inform people that there are people here who speak politics and have stands.

I saw the name Benyamin in today's daily in the list of those likely to contest the next assembly elections.
However, let me inform you humbly that there is no such possibility.
Online and YouTube channels have carried such news before. I had then dismissed such a possibility in interviews, conversations and speeches. This is again being said by a mainstream media, so I am giving another explanation.
Like any citizen of India, I too have politics, have political stands, engage in humble activities, and openly expresses my opinions on public forums and social media. However, the fact that all of that is for some posts nullifies the stand I have taken so far.
In a society where many people are entering politics and express opinions only for posts, the media is not wrong in doubting such a possibility. However, it is my responsibility to inform you that there are people here who speak politics and stands without such a possibility.
