14th ward of Kottayam Medical College collapses, three rescued

KOTTAYAM: The 14th ward of Kottayam Medical College Hospital collapsed Thursday morning. The police and fire brigade have reached the spot. Three under the building have been rescued. Eyewitnesses said the part having the toilets collapsed.

Among the rescued is a child. Their injuries are not reported to be serious. Health Minister Veena George and Minister V N Vasavan have reached the spot. Minister V N Vasavan said the building that collapsed was not in use.
