BJP MP sustains injuries after pushed by Rahul Gandhi in Parliament

NEW DELHI: BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi has alleged that Rahul Gandhi pushed him during a protest march in Parliament on the Ambedkar issue. 'I was standing near the stairs. During the protest march, Rahul Gandhi grabbed an MP and pushed him and he fell on my back. So, I fell on the ground,' the BJP MP said.

'Rahul Gandhi also came forward to react to the incident. While he was trying to enter the Parliament gate, BJP MPs tried to stop him and threatened him. This happened in the meantime. Mallikarjun Kharge fell. BJP MPs tried to stop us,' Rahul Gandhi said.

A video of Pratap Chandra Sarangi, who was injured in the incident, being taken away in an ambulance has surfaced. The MP sustained injuries near his left eye. Blood can also be seen oozing from the wound in the footage.

The Congress held a protest march alleging that Union Home Minister Amit Shah had spoken against B R Ambedkar. All the opposition MPs were wearing blue clothes. The protest also included holding a picture of B R Ambedkar.
