MUMBAI: HDFC Bank has warned that online services including UPI payment will be interrupted on 13th of this month. Therefore, the bank advises customers to keep enough money in hand. On July 13, UPI will be suspended from 3 am to 3.45 am and from 9.30 am to 12.45 pm. The bank has informed its customers in advance that the outage is part of an update and modernization of its entire system.
The officials stated that the aim of the renovation is to increase the efficiency, capacity and reliability of the bank. The bank informed that net banking and mobile banking services will not be available during the upgrade period. Also, any fund transfer services including IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, HDFC Bank account-to-account online transfer and branch transfer will not be available.
HDFC Bank has asked customers to plan all fund transfers and withdraw required funds before 7:30 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024 to avoid inconvenience. At the same time, the bank has also clarified that this will not affect Debit Card and Credit Card transactions. "Please plan your banking activities accordingly, as some services will be temporarily unavailable during this 13-and-a-half-hour period," the bank said on their website.
