PATNA: The Patna High Court has directed the congress to remove the AI generated video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother Heeraben Modi, from all social media platforms. The court directed the Bihar unit of the congress party to remove the video. Acting Chief Justice P B Bajanthri directed the party unit to remove the video from all social media platforms.

The Bihar congress unit posted the 36-sec-long video on September 10. The video posted portrayed Modi’s mother criticizing him for his politics in his dream. The Bihar congress captioned the video as ‘mother came in the sahab’s dream. The video circulated on all social media platforms had stoked a controversy. The BJP had asked to apologize after withdrawing the video or would take legal action. However, the congress argued that there is nothing like insulting Modi’s mother.

The BJP then approached the high court. Based on the complaint filed by BJP Delhi Election Cell Convener Sanket Gupta, the Delhi Police registered a case against the Congress and the IT Cell. In the complaint filed at the North Avenue Police Station, it was claimed that the visuals were defamatory and insulted the dignity and motherhood of Modi's mother.

The Prime Minister and his mother are being dragged into political controversies, a second time in the past one month.
