KOCHI: The school pet show should be fun, don't forget to come with the darlings of your houses..... Vinayak also followed the class teacher's instructions. Yesterday morning, he came to school looking grand. He was riding an elephant. His younger brothers accompanied.
Vinayakan told his astonished classmates. "Don't be afraid, this is our house pet. Gajaveeran Kaliyarmadam Rajasekharan." The extraordinary scene took place at Kaloor Greets Public School, Ernakulam.
Vinayakan is in the ninth grade. His younger brother, Devanand, is in the fourth grade, and Rishi is in the first grade. They are the children of Subeesh, a prominent astrologer of the Aroor Kaliyarmadam family, and Saranya. Rajasekharan was bought and brought to the family six months ago. Rajasekharan, 52, is a good-natured elephant. He quickly got along with the children. Now they are like buddies.

The parents agreed to take Rajasekharan when the trio told the family about the pet show. The school authorities were informed that the elephant would be reaching the school. It was kept as a surprise for the children. In the morning, Rajasekharan was brought to the school in a vehicle from Aroor. From there, he was taken to the school. Mahout Ranjith was also with him.
The pet show was organised to help children understand pets firsthand. The show was held from 9 am to 12 pm. In addition to the elephant, horses, hamsters, turtles, iguanas, cats, dogs, and colourful fish also shone in the pet show. Competitions were also organised for the pets.
The pet show has been going on for years. This is the first time a student has brought an elephant. The children were very happy
