THRISSUR: The death of the youth in an accident in Chettupuzha has now turned into a murder. The police found that the youth’s death was not accidental but a murder. The police said the youth was killed after hitting him on his head with a helmet. The dead is Shine (28), a native of Arimboor. His brother and his friend were arrested in the incident.

The police are questioning Shine’s brother Sherin and his friend Arun in custody. They told police that Shine fell from the bike when going together. However, the postmortem report revealed the truth.

The incident happened on August 13. Shine called the two to pick him from the bar in Thrissur. However, a dispute that broke out over fuel shortage ended in the murder. Seeing him unconscious, they pushed him from the bike.

They later called the police and the ambulance. The two told them that he met with an accident. The post-mortem revealed that the injuries were not sustained in a fall from the bike. It was also found that he was hit on the head. The truth came to light after the accused were taken into custody and interrogated.
