Sexual abuse after threatening minor with spy cam videos: Certain bigwigs to be in trouble soon

ANCHALUM MODDU: There are hints that in the incident in which a seventeen-year-old girl was forced into the sex trade, certain bigwigs in society were also involved. According to the police, the accused had threatened the girl that if she didn’t obey them they would make public the videos of her bathroom scenes they had shot secretly.

The mobile phones of most of the VIP suspects are switched off.

With the arrest of three persons including a woman relative of the girl, the total number of arrests has become seven.

More arrests are likely to happen soon.

The Anchalumoodu police had the other day arrested Shiju (35), who is running a private homestay in Kottiyam, one Mini (33) and girl’s close relative Sabiyath (34)

Mini (in the picture) had been arrested earlier also for running a brothel in a rented house in Kundara. Shiju is a murder case accused under Kilikollur police station limits.

Shiju and Mini posed as a couple and operated the homestay. In connection with the incident, three persons who were running a lodge in Karunagapally and another relative woman of the victim were arrested earlier.

“The girl was threatened and taken to the homestay/lodge and presented to a number of clients. We have also got a diary that includes the names of the clients. Besides the girl, several women were also taken to these places for paid sex,” the police said.
