Operation Aag: arrested are just lackeys, Kingpins still untouchable

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The famed ‘operation AAG’ to lock down the gang criminals in the state has so far helped only in arresting criminals who work are just lackeys of big names. The kingpins are still at large and the police on the other hand clueless about their whereabouts. The Pattur gang criminal case involved Om Prakash is still evading the police while another infamous name Puthanpalam Rajesh has left no trace. The news was viral about these criminals finding a safe haven in Chennai. Accusations also go as these big honchos are in good rapport with the people in khaki which helps in their run. The police are trying similar ways to cover this ineptness with the recent many arrests through ‘operation AAG’. In the 3501 raids conducted, 2507 criminals were arrested. But only 100 among them were remanded while the rest were left on bail.
