License suspended a month ago due to accident, drove again under the influence of alcohol, driver arrested

KOCHI: The driver, whose license was suspended after an accident, drove the bus again, this time under the influence of alcohol. Anil Kumar, a native of Neriamangalam, was arrested in the incident. He was caught while driving a bus from Thrikkakara bus stand this afternoon. He was drunk while driving. During the subsequent investigation, the police found that Anilkumar's license had been suspended.

The police said that his license was suspended following an accident in Palarivattom last month. A case was filed against him for driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was later released on bail. Thrikakkara police said that they will apply to the motor vehicle department to cancel the permit of the bus.
