Murdered wife for denying copulation; Chennai man gets relaxation from court for this reason

chennai-murder-case-court

CHENNAI: A man who murdered his wife for denying copulation received relaxation in his sentence from the court. The court found the act a pavlovian response and decided that the convict deserved some mercy. The incident happened on 2018 August 27th in Anna Nagar. Sreenivasan made sexual advances to his wife but got denied which made him do the unthinkable. He stabbed his wife Ammu to death after she incensed him with comments saying she will bed only with the person that she liked.

Sreenivasan's son at that time aged eight gave statements against his father in court. Sreenivasan married Ammu in 2008. The husband doubted an extra-martial relationship between his wife with another man named Saravanan. The court found the reasoning genuine from the defense lawyer and made the relaxation for Sreenivasan to serve just 10 years sentence with a fine of Rs 5000.
