KABUL: In an incident that reported massive firing from both sides, two Islamic State commanders were killed by the Taliban in Kabul. Taliban initiated an anti-terrorism raid which ended up killing the two IS commanders. Among the two killed, one has been identified as Qari Fateh, the former war minister of the Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K) province. The killed one was a master kind behind the embassy attacks in Kabul directed at China, Pakistan, and Russia. The news was confirmed by Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid.
Along with Fateh, the Taliban also wiped out the IS-K chief for the Indian subcontinent, Ijaz Amin Ahangar, who was a designated terrorist and a wanted one by the Indian government. Ijaz once stationed his work in Srinagar and carried out attacks on civilians with ruthless impunity. The United States has previously described IS-K as the 'deadliest' of all. The Taliban move is in the wake of repeated attacks on diplomatic missions by the terrorist group.
